52 Reasons to Support the Arts

The Arizona Commission on the Arts is pleased to present this deck of cards, 52 Reasons to support the arts.

The project shows, through four themes or suits, the public value of support to the arts. The suits, illustrated by Arizona arts projects, are education, economic development, community building and creative capital. Enjoy your visit through the images and descriptions.

This project resulted from a proposal submitted by designers Karyn Clark Ricci and Stephanie Kahl-Burnstein to a national competition by Sappi Fine Papers. The award paid for the production of this project.

We believe that it is a fun and compelling tool to demonstrate the public value of the arts and the work of the Arizona Commission on the Arts.
