Quick Turnaround Grants
The Arizona Commission on the Arts is pleased to offer Quick Turnaround
Grants to organizations, individuals, artistic companies, schools, and
after-school programs.
Quick Turnaround Grant (QTG) applications are accepted by mail between July 1
and May 1 annually, or until all grant funds are expended. Grants are based on a fiscal
year calendar (July 1 through June 30 of the following year) and proposed
activities must take place within this timeframe. Applications for all Quick
Turnaround Grant categories, outlined below, must be submitted at least 6 weeks
in advance of an activity.
Applications are posted in Portable Document Format (PDF). Depending on
software, applicants may be able to type directly on to the forms and save their
work. Be advised: some versions of PDF readers may not allow applicants to save

Applications are available in alternative formats. To request, contact the

CONSULTANT SERVICES GRANTS (CSG), for organizations and schools.
CSGs are designed to connect Arizona’s nonprofit arts organizations and PreK
– 12 schools with professional consultants who can assist with maintaining a
healthy organization or coping with a crisis. Applicants may request grant
support of $500 per day, up to a maximum of 3 days, for a total of $1500.
CSGs do not require a funding match.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT GRANTS (PDG), for individual artists,
arts administrators, and arts educators. PDGs provide funding support
for participation in professional development and skill building activities
or opportunities that contribute to professional growth and further careers.
Applicants may request grant support up to $750. PDGs must be matched by a
minimum contribution of 25%.

STEP INTO ARTS LEARNING GRANTS (SAL), for schools who have not
received funding support from the Commission in the last three fiscal years.
SAL grants introduce schools to the rich and diverse learning
opportunities provided by trained teaching artists. This program supports
the design and presentation of standards-based arts education programs
wherein students engage in in-classroom artmaking and learning with and
through the arts, and classroom teachers learn new ways to infuse arts-based
learning throughout school curriculum. Applicants may request grant support
of $1500 or $2500. SAL grants do not require a funding match.

SUDDEN OPPORTUNITY GRANTS (SOG), for
organizations, artistic companies, schools, and after-school programs. SOGs are designed to provide funding support for unique activities or
special opportunities that arise within a short timeframe and which could
not have been addressed during the Commission’s annual grants cycle.
Applicants may request grant support up to $1000. SOGs must be matched by a
minimum contribution of 25%.
