  • Americans for the Arts' "Art. Ask for More" - The goal of this campaign is to make sure that you—parents and concerned citizens—know that you are potentially the best and most powerful supporters of arts education. Establish the place of the arts as both a full academic subject area and as uniquely empowering activities that carry over into other areas of life and study.

  • Arizona Alliance for Arts Education (AAAE)- An alliance of organizations and individuals supportive of arts education, who provide a united voice to support arts education programs at the local, state, and national levels.

  • Arts Action! - A grassroots arts education project calling local citizens to action to encourage and assist parents, teachers, artists and community leaders in promoting quality arts education in local schools. Sponsored by the Arts Advocacy West Virginia Foundation.

  • Arts Action Fund - New initiative from Americans for the Arts to involve individual citizens in advocacy for the arts and arts education.

  • Arts Education Partnership - They identify the key advocacy resources for use in the arts education community. Includes: At Risk Youth, Funding, Collaboration/Partnerships, Research, Early Childhood, Standards and Assessment, Education Reform, Technology, Evaluation, Workforce.

  • Arts Online Resource Center for Education Policy Makers - Americans for the Arts and the National School Boards Association Partner to help schools build a policy Infrastructure that Supports the Arts in Education.

  • ArtsEdge - The Kennedy Center's advocacy resource designed to help artists, teachers and students gain access to and share information to support the arts in K-12 setting through creative and appropriate uses of technology.

  • California Alliance for Arts Education - Toolkit
    The California Alliance for Arts Education has created an online toolkit to help schools bring elected officials into the classroom to learn about arts education. Though the toolkit was created specifically for California schools, other states could use it as a model.

  • Cincinnati Arts Initiative

  • Engaging Leadership - (WORD DOC) Best practices for engaging leadership: Governor's Task Force on Literacy in the Arts (Rhode Island), Lincoln Center Institute's Higher Education Collaborative, Maryland Partnerships, Texas Consortium on Pre-Service Education in the Visual Arts.

  • Music Education Advocate's Toolkit - The American Music Conference (AMC) is committed to providing materials and tools so that people can become advocates for music education and help to sustain and save music programs across the country.

  • Music for All Foundation - This organization is committed to expanding the role of music and the arts in education.

  • National PTA Keeping Arts in Your Child's School - Arts Advocacy - Resources to assist parents and other advocates in their efforts to support arts education programs in the schools.

  • National Art Education Association (NAEA) Tips for Parent Advocacy - Tips that parents can use to promote and advocate art education programs in their children’s schools. Effective strategies and resources for advocacy.

  • New Mexico Arts Council - Arts Education Advocacy Kit created for use by communities that are interested in advocating for creating or enhancing arts education programs.

  • Parent Workshops "Valuing the Impact of Arts Learning" - A short workshop session designed for parent groups at your school. It provides simple experimental ways to help parents identify and value arts learning for their children (and themselves!) Addresses advocacy for arts learning and arts learning resources.
