Comprehensive School Reform
Schools
currently participating in Comprehensive School Reform (note: not those just
awarded reform funds) will be eligible to apply for the intensive, arts
education integration programs listed above using additional Comprehensive
School Reform (CSR) dollars available at the state level. Up to 30-40 schools
may be able to participate via CSR funding. Formal invitations with an e-mail
application have been sent to all eligible CSR schools.
Title V Arts Initiative
These dollars will be available for competitive
application by schools currently designated as Title I schools. Only 5-7 schools
will be selected to participate, and most likely these schools will be chosen
from different districts. Each school selected will be eligible for up to three
years of funding based on satisfactory performance. The program will consist of
intensive professional development for participating teachers; funds for arts
supplies as appropriate; and funds for community artists to partner with the
school in programming. |
