Arts Learning Resources for the Classroom Teacher
The Arizona Commission on the Arts is committed to making the arts fundamental
to education, particularly in programs that serve Pre- K-12 students in the
classroom.
Grants
As a classroom teacher you are always looking for new ways to enhance your
curriculum. One way to enliven your
curriculum is to bring an Artist in
Residence project into your school.
Our Residency Roster Artists are
juried through a rigorous review process based on their ability to communicate
about their art form, artistic quality and ability to conduct a residency
program. Please note that we have a variety of funding levels with some of our
programs requiring little to no cash match
from a second source.
ACA has annual grants for schools as well as
year-round funding opportunities. Never

Workshops
When professional development requirements
are looming near, we encourage you to explore an arts based learning workshop
offered by state-wide or
national arts organizations. ACA can
also help fund some of the
costs for you to attend out of state professional development opportunities in
the arts.
ACA has designed a series of workshops around informing you and your colleagues
about the numerous resources and granting opportunities available from ACA.
We encourage you to contact us to present at a staff meeting, professional
development day or site council meeting.
