Partners in Arts Learning (PAL)
Grants
Application Deadline: November 1, 2007
Partners in Arts Learning (PAL) grants are a new pilot partnership
program for arts organizations. This grant supports programs that enhance the
quality and access to arts based learning opportunities. Particular interest and
support is given to projects that are sustainable, collaborative, create
partnerships with one or multiple local school and community-based organizations
and provide direct participation and access to quality arts experiences for
participants and community at large and may also focus on or contain elements of
professional development for staff, educators and/or teaching artists.
The intent of the program is to:
· Support sustainable partnerships between arts organizations and
school/community centers.
· Supports arts learning programs that educate students and teachers in the processes and tools of the arts in a
purposeful way.
· Broaden, deepen and diversify a community’s
relationship with an arts organizations by engaging children, families and
neighborhoods.
Eligibility: public and not for profit arts organizations in Arizona.
Project must take place within July 1, 2007 –
June 30, 2008. Project applications can take advantage of projects already
in progress after July 1, 2007 but projects must be completed by June 30, 2008.
The Commission limits the total number of applications that may be submitted by
an organization in a year to 3 from a non-profit
organization. No organization
may receive more than 15% of its overall general operating budget from the
Commission.
Disciplines: Music, theater, dance, literary arts, visual arts and folk
arts.

Educational Supplies/Materials
(study guides, consumable art materials to be used during project, or the cost
of ticket or admission fees for participants and community members)

Applicant Match: A 50% cash match of eligible
project fees is required.

Grants: · Artistic Quality of Project Design · Articulation of Student and Teacher Learning · Evidence of Understanding · Evidence of Community Support · Appropriateness of the Budget

Review: Requests will be reviewed by a panel in November 2007 and you will be
notified of the decision in December 2007. If approved, you will receive
notification of the grant amount awarded along with final report forms for your
learning institution and guest artist(s).
Payment will be made once you have submitted all required paperwork, including
copies of signed contracts with the guest artists or
consultants and copies of receipts for eligible expenses. A completed final
report form is required no later than 30 days after the completions of your
project.
Application must be received by November 1, 2007.
Mail your completed paper application to Arizona Commission on the Arts, 417 W.
Roosevelt Street, Phoenix AZ 85003. Attn: PAL Grants. Email a copy of your
