Knowledge Institutes/Professional Development
Call for Proposals - Arts Education Information Quarterly (AEIQ)
Americans for the Arts invites the submission of manuscripts and proposals for the AEIQ series.  Text should address the following questions: Who? Which Education stakeholder or decision makers do advocates need to engage and why?  The following groups are primary: parents, school board members, superintendents principals and other constituencies.  Why? What measures have won the support of this group?  How do we make the case for the arts to this particular constituency?  How can the arts meet the educational goals of this constituency?  How?  What is the sphere of influence of this group in public education?  What should we ask this group to do for arts education?  Sample points of influence include requirements, budgets, capital projects, discretional funds, scheduling, curricula and professional development.

Strong manuscripts consider messages, messaging techniques, and success factors.  Please include research and statistics, quotes, anecdotes, and sample projects. Consider population size, urban/suburban/rural communities, and different approaches to the same issue.  For more information please contact John Abodeely, 202-712-2009, jmabodeely@artsusa.org
