Professional Development Grants in After-School Available
Are you a Roster Artist interested in working in the afterschool field? Would you like to develop your skills and complete your required professional development action with a grant from the Commission? The Arizona Commission on the Arts is offering 3 grants in the amount of $250 to assist Roster Artists attend the National AfterSchool Association Conference in Phoenix,
March 21 – March 23, 2007. This conference is designed for afterschool professionals and will highlight numerous topics throughout the conference. Deadline to apply February 15, 2007 For more information contact Mandy Buscas, Arts Learning Programs Director, mbuscas@azarts.gov, 602-229-8225.

Mentorship Grants Now Available from ACA
Interested in a mentorship with a fellow Residency Roster Artist? The Commission is now offering a limited amount of grants for newly juried artists or artists looking to grow in their field through a mentorship.
We hope this mentorship process will ensure your success on the Roster.  As well as create an opportunity for fellow artists to network and learn form one another’s success and challenges.For more information contact Mandy Buscas, Arts Learning Programs Director, mbuscas@azarts.gov, 602-229-8225.

Arts Learning Project Grants Available from the Arizona Commission on the Arts
If you are planning a residency program for the upcoming year, Arts Learning Project Grant Applications are now available from The Arizona Commission on the Arts. Our goal is that applicants present a plan that creatively stimulates and delivers arts learning in their school/community organizations.  How to Apply:  Applications for the 2007-2008 School Year will be available on EGOR (Electronic Grant Online Resource) mid-January 2007 at http://www.culturegrants-az.org/  Applications are due electronically submitted by midnight March 22, 2007 and supplemental material postmarked to the Commission offices no lather than 5 p.m. March 22, 2007. (These grants will fund projects from July 1, 2007 - June 30, 2008) If you have any questions in the meantime please feel free to contact, Arts Learning Staff

Artist Teacher Institutes Funding Available - Arizona Commission on the Arts
School districts or local arts organizations interested in applying for the Artist Teacher Institute should submit a letter of application to Alison Marshall, Arts Learning Director, 417 W. Roosevelt St. Phoenix, AZ 85003 by March 1, 2007. The letter should describe the current arts learning programs in the school or community, why you are interested in hosting an Artist Teacher Institute and how the Institute can help serve the professional development and arts learning goals in your school and community. Interested rural schools, districts or local arts organizations should be able to confirm a minimum of 28 participants and an onsite contact-coordinator. Applicants must also create a User Profile in EGOR (Electronic Grant Online Resource) http://www.culturegrants-az.org/  by March 1, 2007. Executive Director Search
Arizona Citizens/Action for the Arts seeks an Executive Director who is a proven leader with integrity, political savvy and a strong work ethic. Regional Touring Program
Application Deadline March 22, 2007. The purpose of the Arizona Commission on the Arts’ Regional Touring Program is to assist Arizona-based performing artists and ensembles wishing to expand their regional touring activities. One function of the program is sponsorship to the booking conferences around the nation and in Canada and Mexico.
