  • Flow Chart: How the Program Works

  • Identify an area of need.

  • Contact a program director at the Commission to discuss your ideas.

  • A program director will help frame the situation to ensure the best use of the service and helps identify two or three consultants who would be the best match for your needs.  The program director can explain how the application process works.

  • Decide whether to pursue the consultancy and contact one or two consultants to have a preliminary conversation.

  • When your organization and a consultant mutually agree to pursue the consultancy, your organization will request funding assistance from the Commission.  An organization may choose to use a consultant not on the Commission roster. If the funding is granted, it is the organization’s responsibility to pay the consultant based on a contract agreement.

  • The consultancy generally includes a preliminary interview with organization leadership, a one-to-three day on-site consultancy, a written report and, in some cases, a follow up call three months later.

  • Typically, an organization may only request one consultancy per year.
