Donna Isaac

Phone: 480-205-9234 Donna Isaac joined the Public Art staff of the City of Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture as a project manager in December 2005. Her work includes public participation and mediation as well as designing and managing projects that range from public art master plans to cultural planning for Native American communities and cultural inventories, as well as repatriation policies for Tribal communities and museums. Donna’s experience also includes program evaluation and teaching cultural perspectives of public participation. She has worked on community participation and the arts with emerging democracies in Central and Eastern Europe. Currently, Donna manages public art projects that range in budget from $80,000 to $1 million. She works closely with communities and with advisory boards and committees. Donna brings her experience of private and public sectors as well as the non-profit sector to her work. She has been a peer consultant for the Arizona Commission on the Arts since 2004. Donna has worked with museums in curatorial works, as well as an art critic and journalist in Canada, France, and the U.S. Donna’s education includes a M.A. in art history from the University of Minnesota, museum training at the École du Louvre, and a Master in Planning with a focus on cultural planning and public participation from Arizona State University.
