Ms. Bruning specializes in creating and facilitating group processes related to public art such as building understanding, needs assessment, artist selection, concept development, problem solving and focus groups. Her expertise includes crafting programmatic objectives and generating strategies for successful design development, municipal partnerships and public relations. Ms. Bruning is the project manager for the Scottsdale Public Art Program, for which she has served the community’s and the City’s needs, while protecting the artist’s rights and administering the production of high quality artwork. She utilizes and teaches proven methods for all facets of overseeing and building public art, including knowing how and when to educate your partners and constituents.

Ms. Bruning has written calls to artists that have appeared in resource packets for the national organization Americans for the Arts. She has consulted with the City of Scottsdale on visioning processes and issues of aesthetics and perception of place. In recent years, she has been a guest speaker for the American Association of University Women, Ottawa University, the Philanthropic Educational Organization, Phoenix Art Museum, the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art and the University of Arizona.
