Nancy Welch is vice president of The Insight Group, a Tempe-based research firm established in 1987. She is a skilled research analyst, group facilitator, and writer whose experience includes work for arts organizations, government agencies, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, and businesses. She has designed and managed qualitative and quantitative research projects on numerous public policy and organizational issues and has substantial experience with focus groups, surveys, CueLab, and other research techniques relevant to the arts.

Before joining the Insight Group, Nancy worked at Morrison Institute for Public Policy (School of Public Affairs, Arizona State University) as a senior research analyst. She served as the primary author for Schools, Communities, and the Arts: A Research Compendium on behalf of the National Endowment for the Arts, and wrote Working Relationships: Arts, Education, and Community Development and Transitional Times for Arts Education. Nancy also led research for the development of Arizona ArtShare and a public art plan for Mesa.

Nancy received her bachelors degree in history from the University of Redlands (Redlands, California) and a masters degree in history from the College of William and Mary (Williamsburg, Virginia).
