The Governor-appointed board of the Arizona Commission on the Arts has approved funding of the following awards in Fiscal Year 2019 (July 1, 2018 – June 30, 2019).

Grantees by Program

Grantees are listed below by the the grant program in which they were awarded funding.

Community Investment Grants provide operating support to nonprofit arts organizations, local arts agencies, and tribal cultural organizations whose mission is to produce, present, teach or serve the arts.

Festival Grants support organizations in their efforts to provide quality arts and cultural programming through community festival activities.
Strengthening Schools Through Arts Partnerships Grants support substantive school/community partnerships that strengthen teaching and learning in arts education and/or arts integration in Arizona Title I schools.
Arts Learning Collaboration Grants enhance the work of school-based arts teaching and learning programs through collaborative projects taking place in-school (during regular school hours), after-school, or during summer/inter-session and in-services.

Lifelong Arts Engagement Grants support partnerships that foster meaningful arts learning experiences in a variety of community settings for learners of any age. Community/social service organizations or governmental entities partnered with arts organizations or professional teaching artists are eligible to apply.
Professional Development Grants (PDG) are designed to assist Arizona artists, arts administrators, and arts educators with funding support for participation in professional development and skills-building activities which contribute to significant professional growth.

Research & Development (R&D) Grants provide funding support to Arizona artists as they work to advance their artistic practice, expand their creative horizons, and deepen the impact of their work.

Artist Opportunity Grants provide funding support to Arizona artists as they take advantage of specific, unique opportunities that have the potential to significantly impact an artist’s work and career. This grant supports and empowers artists at critical stages in their creative lives as you work to raise the profile of your artistic practice and continue to innovate your work.
