The ArtBox Institute is a new professional development program for artists and arts professionals. This program aims to help local artists grow and evolve their endeavors and find greater success through developing the marketplace skills and tools necessary for artists.
This program will feature a curriculum designed on the basis of acquiring practical skills, increasing confidence, and participation in community in mind. Led by instructors who are professionals in fundraising, marketing, financial planning, writing, photography, organization and business strategies, participants will taught and coached in mastering skills for success. Some topics that will be covered include: branding, verbal communication, web/social media use, funding, and strategic business planning. The ArtBox Initiative will also create a space for networking, collaboration, and peer review.
The ArtBox Initiative is being presented by Flagstaff Cultural Partners in collaboration with the City of Flagstaff, NACET, Coconino County Board of Supervisors, Coconino County Community Services, the Small Business Development Center of Coconino Community College, Northern Arizona University, and others.
This opportunity will extend over a nine-month period, beginning in January 2014 and culminating in September 2014.
