Guidelines for Fiscal Year 2017 Festival and Community Investment Grants are now available for review. We are also pleased to offer an opportunity for potential applicants to learn more about these programs and the application process during an online information session on Wednesday, January 20, 2016.
Community Investment Grants (CIG) provide funding support for arts organizations that demonstrate exceptional alignment with the criteria of the CIG program. CIG awards are available to nonprofit arts organizations of all sizes, local arts agencies and tribal cultural organizations whose primary mission is to produce, present, teach or serve the arts.
Organizations that received a Community Investment Grant (CIG) in the last funding cycle will apply as follows for Fiscal Year 2017:
- CIG Levels I, II and III will submit an alternate year application.
- CIG Levels IV, V and VI will submit a full application and undergo panel review.
Festival Grants support organizations in their efforts to provide quality arts programming through festival activities and are awarded to assist with the costs of connecting artists (or their artistic work) with communities.
Arts Learning Grants
In recent years, Arts Learning Grant guidelines have been published alongside guidelines for Festival and Community Investment Grants. The Arts Learning Grant program is central to the agency’s arts learning mission. To ensure that these grants continue to serve the sector’s evolving needs, reach applicants where they are, and direct essential funding support to the most diverse range of programs and projects, the Arts Learning Grant program will be substantially renovated for Fiscal Year 2017.
What does this mean for you?
- A new, more convenient application schedule, with multiple deadlines per year
- A simpler, more accessible application process
- Funding for more expansive collaborative project possibilities
- Eligible applicants will still include schools, school districts, non-profit social service/community organizations and units of government
