Consultant Services Program -
Connects Arizona’s non-profit arts organizations with peer professionals in
the field with specialties in areas such as organizational assessment,
facilitation, board development, planning, marketing, understanding
participation, accessibility, arts education program planning and assessment and
more. Grants available for Consultant Services and Community Cultural
Inventories.
Peer
Consultant Roster - Since 1991, the Peer Consulting Program has provided
affordable and accessible consulting services to the state’s non-profit arts
organizations and local arts agencies. The intention of this program is to make
available the extensive knowledge and experience of these professionals to our
constituents across the state.
Business on Board - is
a dynamic program designed to help create, build and sustain strong, effective
boards for nonprofit arts and social service organizations. Since a Non-Profit
is only as good as its Board, this innovative and comprehensive development
and placement program is designed to identify, recruit, train and place a
diverse pool of talented professionals as board members of arts organizations.
Cultural Diversity Plan - In
1989, the Arizona State Legislature established the Arizona Arts Trust Fund with
monies collected from the filing fee of Arizona's for-profit corporations. These
funds support the General Operating Support Grants awarded by the Arizona
Commission on the Arts. Part of the legislation requires that organizations
awarded General Operating Support Grants serve the needs of the community,
including efforts to reach artists and audiences from culturally diverse groups.
Grant conditions, which must be met before an organization's funding is
distributed, include representation by racial/ethnic community members on their
board of directors, and submission of a current Cultural Diversity Plan with the
grant application. Certain peer consultants can help with your diversity
plan.
