NEA Awards $392,000 to Arizona Arts Organizations and Projects

One January 10, 2023, the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) announced its first round of recommended awards for fiscal year 2023, with more than $34 million in funding to support the arts nationwide. 17 Arizona-based arts organizations/programs and two literary artists are among the grantees.

Artists invite us to dig deeper, shift our perspectives and experience our world in new ways. With their creative approaches to investigation, problem solving and social engagement, artists make vital contributions to the civic wellbeing, innovative capacity and cultural life of Arizona’s diverse communities.

Through grants and programs, the Arizona Commission on the Arts partners with Arizona artists, nurturing their creative and professional development while leveraging their knowledge and talents in service to Arizonans.
