The Arizona Commission on the Arts is committed to providing programs and services to Arizona performing artists and performing arts organizations practicing in all disciplines, including but not limited to: dance, music, opera, theater and hybrid forms.

For Performing Arts Organizations:

General Operating Support Grant
General Operating Support (GOS) Grants assist arts organizations with administrative and/or artistic expenses.

Consultant Services Grant
Consultant Services grants provide funding for organizations and schools in support of professional consultancies. These grants are designed to connect Arizona’s nonprofit arts organizations and PreK-12 schools with professional consultants who can assist with the maintenance or growth of a healthy organization or coping with a crisis.

Technical Assistance
Arts Commission staff is available to provide assistance such as: Arts Commission grant proposal development; public presentations on Arts Commission programs; research in the performing arts; referrals to consultants, arts professionals and other resources; and consultations for organizations and individual artists in a wide variety of areas.

For Individual Performing Artists:

Artist Project Grant
The Arts Commission provides assistance to individual artists through annual Artist Project Grants. Artists apply for project-related funding up to $5,500 for research and development leading to the creation of a work of art in any artistic discipline. Previous Artist Project Grants winners may apply for and receive the Artist Project Grants every ten years.

Professional Development Grant
Professional Development Grants provide funding support for participation in artistic development and skills building activities or opportunities that contribute to professional growth and career development.
