The Arizona Commission on the Arts provides programs and services to Arizona visual artists and visual arts organizations practicing in all genres, including but not limited to: craft, folk art, design, digital media, drawing, media art, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture and hybrid forms.

For Visual Arts Organizations
General Operating Support Grant
General Operating Support (GOS) Grants assist arts organizations with administrative and/or artistic expenses.

Chamber and Tourism Membership Grants
Chamber and Tourism Membership Grants for Organizations (CTM) are designed to assist Arizona nonprofit arts and culture organizations with funding support for 1- or 2-year memberships in/with business or tourism industry chambers/bureaus/associations in their communities. Applicants may request grant support up to $500. No match is required for CTM grants.

Technical Assistance
Arts Commission staff is available to provide assistance such as: Arts Commission grant proposal development; public presentations on Arts Commission programs; research in the visual arts; referrals to consultants, arts professionals and other resources; and consultations for organizations and individual artists in a wide variety of areas.
For Individual Visual Artists
Artist Research and Development Grant
The Arts Commission provides assistance to individual artists through annual Artist Research and Development Grants. Artists apply for project-related funding up to $5,500 for research and development leading to the creation of a work of art in any artistic discipline. Previous Artist Project Grant or Artist Research and Development Grant recipients may apply for and receive the Artist Research and Development Grant every ten years.

Professional Development Grant
Professional Development Grants provide funding support for participation in artistic development and skills building activities or opportunities that contribute to professional growth and career development.
