March 2-3, 2008 - Arizona State Library Convocation
Convocation is an annual networking conference for library, museum and arts and culture professionals coordinated by the Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records. The principal goal of the convocation is to strengthen the community of individuals responsible for and dedicated to Arizona’s cultural heritage. Convocations include speakers, panels, workshops and conversations to strengthen programs that support Arizona’s arts and cultural resources and institutions; share information about what we collect; discover opportunities for collaborative projects, including exhibitions, collections, and preservation; promote public access to Arizona collections; and prepare for the future. Convocation is also becoming a method of helping Arizona’s arts and cultural professionals begin planning for the state’s centennial commemoration in 2012 by thinking about ways to partner, program, and find funding sources.
