Joint Arts Education Conference

The Joint Arts Education Conference was presented by the Arizona Department of Education and the Arizona Commission on the Arts, hosted by the Musical Instrument Museum in Northeast Phoenix.

Arts educators, teaching artists and arts administrators from across the state gathered to help shape the future of arts education in Arizona! We released the first-ever census of arts education in our state, and led positive change for arts education in our state and your local communities. Guest speakers included Bob Morrison, lead researcher for the Arizona Arts Education Census, and Rob Davidson, VH-1 Save the Music Foundation.

Venue
The Musical Instrument Museum (MIM) welcomes you to explore and experience the rich diversity of the world’s music and musical instruments. As the host venue for the Joint Arts Education Conference, the Valley’s newest museum provided a unique backdrop and experience for conference attendees, including free admission to enjoy a self-guided tour through the museum.
